After lasting for not nearly as long as the pair had hoped, their kissing had to come to an end when EmmaвЂ™s dad honked from behind them, signaling an end to the PDA and a shove to get to school. Dean leaned over and gently kissed her, their lips moving to a rhythm that was only their own. She ran to the car beaming with joy, and plopped herself into the passenger seat. As she was scrolling through her Facebook attempting to take in everything that had occurred while Dean and she were gone, she heard the honk that signaled her carpool was there to take her to school.Д¬losing her front door she noticed that it wasnвЂ™t HelenвЂ™s car. However, she still rendered the strength to get out of bed and rummage through her closet for a shirt that still felt like her, and got dressed. She assumed that it was the sudden change or whatnot, but she wasnвЂ™t certain. For the past two weeks, ever since they were rescued, sheвЂ™s been feeling sick without explanation. The next morning, Emma awoke nauseous again. So the two lay in their beds gradually falling asleep wondering the same thing, should they feel guilty? Should they feel guilty for wanting to go back?

EmmaвЂ™s real bed was Dean, and DeanвЂ™s home was wherever Emma was. And as they remained dancing in the rain for the rest of the night, neither Emma nor Dean wanted anything more than to be in their lagoon.Дespite their wishes, the night eventually had to end, and they both went back to their homes that no longer felt like home and into their beds that no longer brought them comfort. He still loved her, and she still loved him. After everything that they had been through, it would have been a travesty had they not reconciled in the rain, proving that they werenвЂ™t just each otherвЂ™s comfort on the island.

As their lips finally parted, Emma looked into DeanвЂ™s eyes and smiled. It was a shift to be back home, and neither of the two wanted to have to endure the change without the other. And in that moment, they were both imagining themselves back on the island, in the lagoon.
